I’m Amy. My biggest titles are “mom” and “maker.” But I’m also a chef, driver, photographer, developer, tester, bottler, labeler, social media manager, store owner, maid, pet caretaker, co-op director, blogger, order fulfillment associate, gardener, bestie, delivery person, and more! 😉
22 years ago- I became a MOMMA, and am now the mom to two young men. All of these years, I’ve wanted nothing but the best for my boys. I’ve changed what we eat and what products we use. I’ve tried hard to eliminate processed foods and toxins from our home. And as a single mom for the last 10 years, I’ve wanted nothing more but to be around as much as I can for the boys, and to set a good example for them. So I started a business!
12 years ago- I became a MAKER. Of natural, non-toxic, pampering, sudsy, moisturizing, detoxifying, eco-friendly, cleansing, and hydrating home, bath, and body products. To make a difference for our home, our health, our planet, for my new customers. It’s been an amazing decade of changing people’s skin!
8 years ago- I became a FOUNDER. I founded National Handmade Day. To celebrate makers! To bring awareness to handmade. To cheer on the artisans and artists. To shine a light on the quality and uniqueness of homemade goods. Viva la handmade!
6 years ago- I became a DIRECTOR, as I started up Handmade on Main. A boutique handmade shop and a maker co-op. To give a home base to some of my favorite makers. To give them exposure, love, direction, wholesale and market opportunities, community over competition, and sometimes just a listening ear. To give them a space to have hands-on workshops. To provide them an online presence. To help their business grow.

"Hi! I’m Anastasia, a former Art teacher, Texas maker, and creator behind Art & Soul. I started my dream job as an Art teacher in 2013 and I loved being with my students and expressing my passion and belief to young educators that Art isn’t just a hobby, but a way to help them pursue their future career. While I loved teaching, I also liked staying organized in my classroom by doing things such as labeling all my art supplies, giving students art jobs that gave them a purpose and understanding on how to take care of the materials, staying on track with my busy schedule by jotting down notes, and color coding my teacher planner. I remember when planners became popular, all I wanted to buy were special stickers for Art teachers, specifically Art rotation days, art district meetings, and art show reminders. However, there were no such things; I searched and searched but only found generic stickers for teachers. This is what made me start my small biz.
When I started this small business in 2019, I first began with an Etsy shop with just a few Art teacher sticker products. My Art teacher friends and colleagues saw my stickers in my planner and they absolutely loved them and began ordering from me. I felt proud to help my fellow colleagues. "Relyt (pronounced "rē-light") is more than just a brand; it's the culmination of my personal health journey. Back in 2015, while living in Long Beach, CA, I stumbled upon herbalism as a solution to a lifetime of health issues. The discovery ignited a passion that has since taken me on a fascinating journey around the globe.
Even while soaring as a flight attendant, I carried a suitcase filled with hefty textbooks on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Indigenous practices, and more. The captivating world of Western Herbalism, with its nerdy phytochemistry, resonated deeply, connecting me with my own ancestry. Under the mentorship of the incredible Western Herbalist, Julie James, my passion flourished.
What began as a personal quest soon transformed into a dream: to do what I love while making a positive impact on others. While still working as a flight attendant, I launched The Relyt Wellness Podcast. (Did you know "Relight" is simply my name spelled backward?) The podcast is our way of empowering you to explore different approaches to wellness and herbalism, ensuring you feel included and knowledgeable about your choices.
Crafting teas and tinctures that are not just effective but also a joy to use became a natural progression.
